LEARNING programs

Few schools can match the range of learning experiences on offer at Caulfield Grammar. This enables students to discover their talents and hone their skills in their chosen fields.

The school has a history of excellent VCE results. Year 10 students are able to study VCE units suited to their interests and abilities, allowing the VCE to be spread over three years rather than two. VET and first-year university subjects are also provided, and students are supported by a comprehensive careers program.

The Internationalism Program is based at Caulfield’s Nanjing Campus in China and allows Year 9 students to experience living and learning in China for five weeks, studying themes such as heritage, work, family, education and challenges.

The introduction of Learning Mentors to each Year 7 and 8 class means that two teachers operate in each core subject. They observe, assess and respond to the academic and social development of each child while supporting the specialist teachers.

Academic Scholarship

For entry into Years 7, 9, 10, 11. Based on an exam and an interview.

Caulfield Grammarians' Association Scholarship

For entry into Years 10 to 12. Open to children of past students of the School. Awarded for achievement in several fields of endeavour related to school life.

Dance Scholarship

For entry into Years 10 and 11. Awarded for involvement and background in dance technique and performance. Based on an audition and an interview.

Founder's Scholarship for General Excellence

For entry into Years 7 to 11. Open to students not currently attending Caulfield Grammar School. Awarded for achievement in several different fields of endeavour related to school life. Based on committee review of all applications and interview with shortlisted candidates.

Music (Instrumental) Scholarship

For entry into Years 7 to 10. Awarded for outstanding musical ability. Based on an audition and an interview.

Music (Voice) Scholarship

For entry into Years 7 to 10. Must have had professional voice training and experience in solo or choral group performance. Based on an audition and an interview.

Theatre Scholarship

For entry into Years 10 and 11. Awarded for involvement and background in performance or stagecraft. Based on an audition and an interview.

Visual Arts Scholarship

For entry into Years 10 and 11. Awarded for outstanding ability in practical and theoretical aspects of visual arts. Based on an exam and an interview.
